Word is, casting for a big screen adaptation on the long running TV series, "The A-Team," has begun. There's few interesting celebrities are in the running.

Guess who's one of the front-runners for one of the A-Team's most popular characters? Rapper The Game is reportly being considered for the role of B.A Baracus, originally played by Mr. T on the television show, reports BlackFilm.com.

Chicago rapper Common, according to online talk, was supposedly on deck for the role, but may have scheduling conflicts after landing a role opposite Queen Latifah in "Just Right."

Other possible candidates have included Ice Cube and UFC fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.

20 Century Fox has enlisted Joe Carnahan (Smokin' Aces) as director. However, at press time, it was unknown when filming was slated to begin.

"The A-Team" revolves around the four members of a former commando outfit and current group of mercenaries. The team consists of their leader Col. John "Hannibal" Smith; Lt. Templeton "The Faceman" (usually referred to simply as "Face"); their pilot Capt. H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock; and the team's strong man and mechanic, Sgt. B.A. "Bad Attitude" Baracus.

According to Variety, Liam Neeson was in negotiations to star as Hannibal Smith, while Bradley Cooper, after repeated denials, told MTV News that he will be playing the role of Templeton Peck.

Film is slated for release on in June 2010.
