In this week’s Hip-Hop and R&B charts, Lil’ Wayne position holds steady, Nas hangs on to Top 10, and G-Unit suffers another loss.After reaching the double platinum mark last week, Lil’Wayne’s run at “3 millie” gets off to a start. According to Nielsen Soundscan Weezy’s sixth studio album Tha Carter III, remains at No. 5 on top of Billboard 200. With the release of the third single “Get Money” featuring his auto-tune partner, T-Pain the ubiquitous set shifted 80,000 units. In eight weeks, Young Moola’s double platinum set has moved 2,100,000 units. Nas’ controversial ninth studio album Untitled narrowly stays in the Top 10, dropping down two spots to No. 10. Impacted with a 35% decline in sales, the revolutionary LP shifted 41,000 copies this week. Untitled is charged by the Polow da Don produced and Keri Hilson assisted lead single, “Hero,” and FOX news network diss track “Sly Fox.” After three weeks, the Queensbridge MC set has sold 290,000 units. What was once considered a sophomore jinx has grown into a full-fledged death sentence for G-Unit. second album T.O.S. (Terminate on Sight), continues it’s poor performance descending four notches to No. 38. Impacted with a 16% decline in sales, the album sets a new low with a paltry 12,000 copies sold this week. set pushed only. After five weeks, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo can’t be happy the porous overall number of 185, 000 copies sold.
